Thenatural actions and destinations are alike to the Toddler (Joey) group,
nevertheless as the child's natural movements and cognitive abilities continue
to evolve, this is where we introduce structure, progressive themes and harder
skills sets to ensure developmental progress of their age.

Thepurposeful play programme is aligned to all our learning materials and sessions
with our 3Cs model; Creativity, Concentration and Curiosity. Thus, each area
allows the child to learn and develop at their natural pace and values the
child's individual strengths.

IntellectualDevelopment through purposeful play;

LanguageDevelopment; At this age we avoid the baby talk with the children and treat
them as "mini" adults that they are. As their ability to convey their
needs sees a plus curvature, we introduce Jolly Phonics which is a multi-
sensory and child-centred approach to teaching language. The use of actions and
sounds keeps the child interested and motivated to learn core language skills
such as the ABCs.

Literature; As their vocabulary, speech and comprehension abilities grow, we begin to bring
in literature using the Big Book concept, where the kids sit together and
listen to the teacher read a story out aloud, following which they will engage
in craft activities and a "question & answer" session about the
tale, thus stimulating their language development.

Sensorial& Conceptual learning; At this age children are able to engage in pretend
play and have a sound ability to work with their five senses. Thus we begin to
engage them in collective concepts such as pre-writing the alphabets and
numeral formations through sand play.

SelfHelp Skills

FineMotor Skills; The children advance to learning how to apply skills that matter
for their everyday functions and they also participate in shared reading, where
their ability to turn the pages is an indication of growing fine motor skills
such as eye, finger and hand coordination.

GrossMotor skills; Our activities allow the child to explore their physical
abilities now at varying speed levels. This enables them to continuously hone
their physical powers and engage in games and outdoor fun that are stimulating
and challenging.
CharacterBuilding

Socialand emotional development; For us this would be one of the most important
areas, as a child's emotional well-being determines their ability to be a
socially dynamic and an eager learner. Using activities we foster the
confidence in kids to share their feelings, engage in deeper interactions with
their friend, develop a positive self image and therefore nurturing their
ability towards independence.

ImprovingSocial Intelligence; At this age children tend to be quite impulsive as they
are setting about to tone up their personalities, so we introduce Honesty,
Responsibility and Fairness through everyday opportunities and have them
understand the tact that is needed when communicating with others. We believe
that instilling moral values, empathy and minding one's Ps and Qs should begin
at an early age, so that these values stay on with the child for a long time to
come. They are not "taught" to the children, instead we instil them
in their everyday actions with us, so that it becomes a natural reflex for the
children.
