The pre-release party of Shashi and Anu Ranjan's DOBARA at Mangi Ferra, Juhu on September 21 was packed with close friends of the couple and handpicked media persons. But what set this party apart from the regular ones was the presence of four Pakistani actors - Muammar Rana [who's an integral part of DOBARA], actresses Meera and Sana and actor/film-maker Jawed Sheikh.
Looking dapper in a white outfit, Muammar was accompanied by his father Shafqat Rana, a suave personality. Jawed Sheikh, who has been planning to cast Indian actors in his new film, mingled freely with the crowd. “Having been to India so many times, I've developed a major comfort level with people here,” the soft-spoken film-maker states.
Meera seemed excited about the Mahesh Bhatt film she's doing [“it's already 50% complete”], while Sana seemed excited at the prospects of signing a film with Sunny Deol. The Bollywood brigade included close friends of the Ranjans, including Ramesh Sippy, David Dhawan, Talat Aziz, Rajan Lall, Alka Yagnik…
All in all, a classy affair!
Sana wants to sign a film with sunny deol? how low can she go to star opposite a true anti-pakistani?
