CJP Saqib Nisar issued notice to Nawaz Sharif in Pakpattan shrine land case. However, the case is about the illegal construction of shops on shrine’s land in 1985.
Saqib Nisar led three member bench heard the Pakpattan shrine land case. However, Dewan Ghulam Qutab’s lawyer and Additional advocate general Punjab Iftikhar Gilani also appeared before the court in today’s hearing.
During the hearing, the SC bench was informed that in 1985, the Pakpattan shrine’s land of about 8,000 kanal belonging to the Auqaf department was sold to Dewan Ghulam Qutab.
CJP Saqib Nisar inquired that if permission was given for the construction of stores on Auqaf’s land. And if yes, then they got permission under which law.
The Supreme Court bench later issued the notice to Nawaz Sharif and adjourned the hearing till the indefinite period.
