CANBERRA Keanu Neal Hat , Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Bert van Marwijk has been announced as the new head coach of Australia's national football team, the Socceroos, ahead
of the FIFA World Cup.

The Football Federation of Australia (FFA) announced the Dutchman as the replacement for outgoing coach Ange Postecoglou, who resigned in November after
successfully qualifying for the World Cup.

Van Marwijk comes to the Socceroos with considerable World Cup experience, having coached the Netherlands to the final in 2010.

He most recently coached Saudi Arabia who he led to automatic qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

"This is a great result for Australian football," FFA chairman Steven Lowy said in a media release on Thursday.

"Bert Van Marwijk is world class. He took the Netherlands to the World Cup final in 2010, he led the Saudi Arabian team to qualify directly for this year's
finals and most importantly, he knows a lot about our team and how they play
because he studied them closely as an opposition manager in the same group."

Lowy also said Australia head to Russia with a group of "battle-hardened players" who made it to the World Cup using the toughest road possible".

"In Bert Van Marwijk we have a manager who can achieve great things with this team. And we will ensure they have the resources necessary to give them the
highest level of preparation," Lowy said.

Van Marwijk, who also coached Borrusia Dortmund and Hamburger SV in Germany, beat out a decorated field of contenders for the job, including Roberto Mancini,
Louis van Gaal and Marcelo Bielsa.

It is believed that he will only hold the position until the conclusion of Australia's World Cup campaign, at which point a local, reportedly Sydney FC
manager Graham Arnold, will take over the team on a more permanent basis.

BEIJING, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- China launched an online platform Wednesday to mediate copyright disputes to free all parties involved and mediators from
traveling.

Applicants can choose mediators from other cities since all steps, including application, testifying, cross-examination and mediation, are to be done online.

The platform not only saves costs, but shares resources across the country, said an official from the Copyright Protection Center of China, a co-host of the
platform.

From 2013 to 2016, the number of copyright registrations in China doubled from over one million to more than two million, said a report compiled in 2017
by the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress.

Since 2010, Chinese police had handled almost 10,000 criminal cases of copyright violation, detaining over 11,000 suspects.

SHENZHEN police recently busted a syndicate and a related industry chain that engaged in stealing, unlocking and selling Apple iPhones,
confiscating more than 2,800 iPhones, the Beijing-based Science and Technology
Daily reported yesterday.

From March to September, the police launched a special investigation in Guangdong, Sichuan, Chongqing, Anhui and Jiangxi, arresting 57
suspects, 30 of whom were detained by the procuratorial authority.

The case is said to involve 28 provinces nationwide. Additionally, it has been reported that an industry chain has been formed for
unlocking iPhone IDs, paving the way for stolen iPhones to enter the market
again.

Shenzhen police arrested the alleged head of the syndicate, surnamed Fang, along with three other suspects, and seized 751
iPhones in Futian District.

Fang told the police that he had bought phishing software online and sent emails containing phishing links to phone owners, who thought
the emails were from an official website. After they clicked the link and
entered their IDs and passwords, Fang and his accomplice would extract the
information through the backstage.

A man surnamed Li who had provided the mail service to Fang said he charged 200 yuan (US$30.5) per day. By the time he was arrested,
his illicit gains had reached 50,000 yuan. The suspect who provided the phishing
website service to Fang charged 800 yuan per package.

A suspect surnamed Wen, who was arrested in Sichuan Province, said he received his orders online. The average cost to unlock a
mobile phone was over 100 yuan, and five to 10 phones could be unlocked by a
person per day. According to the police, Wen’s gang, which consisted of 10
suspects, had about 2 million yuan in their day-to-day account.

According to an industry insider, a stolen iPhone usually has to be disassembled into several parts to be sold, and is estimated to earn
only 300 to 500 yuan. But if the ID is unlocked, an iPhone in good condition may
be worth 2,000 to 3,000 yuan. And if the iPhone is still within its quality
guarantee period, it could fetch at a higher price, since it can be traded.

Previously, Shenzhen police busted a gang that had been stealing mobile phones in Luohu District for a long time, arresting nine
suspects and seizing more than 30 iPhones. According to a police officer, the
gang was loosely organized and sold the stolen phones through second-hand mobile
phone stores and instant messaging platforms such as WeChat and QQ.
