To me this implies a very clear shift to a more RPG strategy to Assassin's Creed. We have already seen the sport get more RPGish with rare loot drops in
Origins, and now we may be seeing something that the series hasn't done,
allowing for participant choice. Each Assassin's Creed match could possibly be
available world, but it forces players into a rigidly linear narrative where
your only options are the best way to kill the collection of assigned goals.

But branching story paths haven't been a part of the series, which seems like it could be about to change. While binary morality systems have sort of fallen
out of favor these days, I really do wonder if this could be setting up
something , the player, must choose to align together with the Assassins or the
Templar. In a game about a eternal conflict between both of these sides
if you're introducing player choice, it seems possible that may be one of these. But perhaps that might be too grand a choice, as you'd essentially have

to write two distinct games to make that work.I'm interested to see how profound
these selection mechanics are. Past choosing sides, is that as straightforward
as choosing different dialog choices, or as complex as betraying friends or
pursuing love interests. That would be quite the departure for the show
really.

No matter the case, Assassin's Creed Odyssey surely seems like a departure for the series, even because we only had a fairly severe death for the better
using the completely revamped Origins, that was among the best games of last
year. Is this a genuine Assassin's Creed game or something different Is the
series becoming a fullon RPG now I guess we will find out more on Monday if
Ubisoft has their E show. Or until there's another leak.
