interception. Others were just a matter of timing things wrong from his pass
catchers. Beathard also had to deal with numerous offensive line injuries as the
game went on, almost getting knocked out himself on a play late in the game. The
Cardinals may be a step down from the Chargers, but their defense is still no
joke and the fact it’s a divisional game means it’s going to be a rough day for
both teams. For Week 5, the Cardinals have been fighting their own injury
issues. Wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald (hamstring) is questionable (and has been
held to under 200 yards for the season). DT Robert Nkemdiche is also
questionable with a foot issue. For the 49ers, wide receiver Dante Pettis (knee)
is out this week. Cornerback Jimmie Ward has been listed as questionable after
tweaking his hamstring Thursday. Wide Receiver Marquese Goodwin (hamstring,
quad) is a game time decision. Joe Staley (knee) was quoted by Kyle Shanahan as
coming to the facility early to get ready so he should be good to go Sunday.
