Some people who bought the two more expensive versions seem to be running into problems when attempting to redeem their bonus codes. Either the code is not being recognized, or not all the items are being awarded correctly. Yesterday (release day), most of the problems seemed to be on the PlayStation 4 and the suggestion was that they would work when the store updated later that afternoon. Now, more than 24 hours later, that is unlikely to be the problem. Suggestions on Reddit and Ubisoft's forums are that various things could be causing the problem. One is that the items in the deluxe version could be downloading for the beta version of For Honor if you still have it installed. If you do, and your deluxe pack code is not working, you should delete the beta and try to download or redeem the items again.

The plot that explains why three distinct anachronistic warrior groups are fighting is predictably thin. Spurred on by a war-crazed overlord who reminds me of nothing more than a medieval Jigsaw (lots of pseudo-philosophical posturing to justify sadism), the three factions are reluctantly drawn into perpetual battle where the real enemy is man's inability to trust man or some similarly yawn-inducing moral. The dialog and plot beats are so generic I wouldn't be surprised if they had been written by an algorithm that recycles B-level action-movie scripts.

A new Heavy's coming to For Honor. The Year of the Harbinger will kick off on January 31 for players who purchased a Year 3 Pass. Vortiger's a new Knight Hero who was teased on past Warrior's Den streams. The name, Vortiger, is derived from an ancient Anglo-Saxon ruler. Named The Black Priors as well, Vortiger is a past knight of the Order of the Holy Balaur. The Priors formed after For Honors antagonist, Apollyon, joined forces with their leader. Apollyon was the main reason for the three-faction war between Knights, Samurai, and Vikings. After her defeat, The Black Priors scattered, abandoning their posts. Today's Warrior's Den was quite the doozy, as teased from their previous stream. The team brought in some Assassin's Creed developers who helped them work on a brand new event: For The Creed. This highly-ambitious crossover event is the first in For Honor history. The event starts today and goes until January 10th of next year. This event will have a special Dominion game mode, Creed-themed environments and assets, new unique weekly Arcade quests, and a ton of event-only loot. The mode recreates the Animus from the franchise, letting players relive battles that actually happened throughout AC history.

Community Developer Eric Pope was sick this week, so the boys filled in for him to discuss everything For Honor from the latest patch going live today to a new contest. This week's Warrior's Den was a shortie-but-goodie for sure. Next week's show will be a very big reveal, with some upcoming surprises. The show will be prerecorded, meaning no chatting and it's the very last one before the holiday break.
