Quitting drinking is hard. Living with a partner who is still drinking makes it much harder. If you truly want to stop, you will find a way to shield yourself from the drinking habits of others. Some people use their partners as an excuse for why they couldn’t stay sober. Like other excuses, they are all BS. If you have a problem, and your partner doesn’t respect the fact that you need to stop drinking or you are going to die, maybe you should find another partner.

Hi, There is no definite answer actually. I would rather recommend to read how to quit drinking without aa http://addictionresource.com/alcohol/treatment/how-to-quit-drinking/ first of all and rate your chances. You see, it should be a decision that both should make. I used to quit drinking because of my husband and should say it was uneasy.
