Children’s Performing Arts (CPA) is excited to announce expanded programming in the White Bear Lake area. Children's performing arts

As part of its collaboration with Lakeshore Players Theatre, CPA is launching its first show choir classes (combining choral singing with
dance) in the existing White Bear Lake facility this July, and a summer
theater camp at Forest Lake High School in August.

“We want to inspire our youth to use their group collaboration and communication skills well into the future to benefit their communities,”
said Executive Director Kari Bullion. “We are excited to be part of
White Bear Lake’s rich history.”

Since 2005, CPA has been providing quality educational theatrical experiences which enhance children's self-confidence, personal growth,
group collaboration skills and community partnerships.

The program operates differently than in many community theaters. Every child that enrolls becomes part of the production and all children
are placed in a role in which they can excel. Children are taught in
small groups and layer skills enriching each child’s development and
experience.

CPA will be co-locating with Lakeshore Players in the new Hanifl Performing Arts Center, which will be built next to the White Bear
Center for the Arts. CPA also signed a 20-year lease agreement keeping
its longest-running and largest legacy program at Forest Lake High
School.

“Being in both locations is important for us,” said Board President Sharon Hanifl-Lee. “We want to expand our reach, but we haven't
forgotten our roots. We started in Forest Lake and both communities are
vital to our programs. This expansion allows us to offer more programs
for all ages. This is a wonderful opportunity for our communities and
our children.”

To facilitate and support the growth, CPA has launched a three-year giving program called Opening Act! Donors can make three-year pledges to
support children’s programs and receive a recognition pin to enjoy
benefits at CPA events.
