The
ESD safe workbench provides many of the elements for the basis of an ESD protected area. Although many other elements are needed, having a good ESD workbench is key. Not only does a typical ESD workbench provide a static dissipative surface on which to work, but it also provides suitable connection points for other elements of the static protected environment. In order to provide the correct environment for an ESD workstation, an ESD workbench should have a static dissipative surface.
