Perhaps the most discussed element of World of Warcraft: Shadowlands
changes is the decision to implement a level squish, shrinking player
caps down from 120 to 60 in the new expansion. The level squish will
also mean dramatic changes to the way players reach the newest content,
as expansions will be shaken up to make the leveling experience more
consistent so that players can enjoy one solid narrative rather than
hopping between them as zones become less or more efficient to quest in.
Finally, from a purely technical standpoint, WoW Shadowlands was even
set to require an SSD before Blizzard adjusted the requirements on the
official page.
One thing players had full control over was the World of Warcraft:
