Some time ago, Jean Paul Gaultier decided to give
Air Jordan Retro for the brand's next Couture collection. The collection was recently postponed due to COVID, but now it looks like the project is back in full swing. This suspicion is reinforced by photos of a new Jean Paul Gaultier x Nike VaporWaffle collab, the first of which we saw today.The model looks like a mid-range version of the Nike VaporWaffle, with one pair featuring a "Black/White" colorway and the other a "Sesame" colorway. Both sneakers use a mixture of leather, nylon and suede, with stitching like we see on a baseball glove on the upper. Finally, tongues and insoles featuring the two brands, followed by chunky two-tone midsoles and Jean Paul Gaultier's signature stripe design on the insole complete the design.
The
2021 Air Max 97 Barely Rose is white with lots of black details. For example, the speckles on the midsole, branding, eyestays and outsole are colored black. In addition, there are black outlines and graphics. This makes it look like a comic book sneaker that has yet to be colored in. This is of course the intention. That's why you get a set of markers at the kicks, with which you as a wearer can adjust the look. Nike definitely associates lemons with summer and offers us several lemon-inspired silhouettes. Since the summer is more rainy than sunny this year, we always look forward to a little sun on our shoes. Recently the Lemon Drop Dunk came and now we can look forward to a lemony Air Force 1.The design gives way to the classic white smooth leather. We can look forward to a material mix of beige suede, creamy smooth leather and white mesh. The majority is made up of suede. The toebox and heel are made of smooth leather, we find mesh elements as a background for the Swoosh. However, the mesh is not completely white, there are small yellow splatters everywhere.
