The US National Aeronautics and SpaceslotxoAdministration (NASA) has delivered ovens designed specifically for weightless cooking. Aboard the International Space Station (ISS) hopes to smell the sweet aroma of new pastries like cookies, which will help create an atmosphere that makes the outside world feel like a warmer home.
Northrop Grumman's Antares rocket, carrying a space oven and other necessary equipment, has taken off from a launch pad in Virginia. on Saturday Nov. 2 and is expected to arrive at the International Space Station on Monday Nov. 4.
NASA says astronauts will try chocolate chip cookies first to see the effect of high heat and zero gravity on the shape and consistency of the finished cookies.
