Give it 45 minutes to one hour and vacuum up properly since the powder may be harmful if it came into contact with your skin. For best results, reapply at least once a week for seven weeks. The major advantage of using this method is that it prevents the bugs from coming back. The insects usually die just a few days after it is applied.

Many people will consider getting rid of bedding if they realize they have been infested, but for those who would like to keep them. A simple steam cleaning will properly sanitize bed bugs and prevent them from re-infesting your mattress. These pests are unable to resist heat, and they die off instantly on exposure.
