While setting up the router, one of the important step is how to change
default password Netgear router. You should also change the password after performing the reset and after a while. So do not keep the same password for too long period of time.
Steps to change password:
? Connect to your wireless network using the Wi-Fi or you can use the Ethernet cable.
? Open the web browser and type 192.168.0.1.
? Now, enter your Net gear username and password to access router remotely.
? In case you haven’t changed, default username and password are, username: admin, password: password.
? Now, navigate to Wi-Fi settings.
? Click on change password option.
? Enter your current password and then create and type the new password.
? Type it again to confirm and click ok to save the changes.
