We are riding in a bus
I see you smile before my me...
Your laughter and joy brings a tear to my eye

I can't hear either of our voices

I see you sitting alone in a vast darkness

The rain suddenly pours

Sitting against the wall
In a sea of ruined buildings
As if you were the last human in the world

I continue rushing through the rain
I search and search for you, but the ruined city is so vast

"NO!" I hear myself cry out as we are blown from each other into the darkness

Then, everything's finally all right
The pain, the suffering has finally come to an end
And I can't believe this is all for real
We are sitting beside a large window of a wooden house
We look out at the beautiful sunset
I let out a happy sigh, because I can feel its warmth radiating against my skin
This must be real!

I see us send a muffled exchange of words
You suddenly look so happy
Tears roll down my face as I smile back
We rush forward and our lips finally meet for the first time
I can almost feel it
It feels so real
Our happiness unable to be described in words
"I love you!" I hear you whisper...

My eyes finally open
I see myself in my room
A prison surrounded by white walls
At first, I question myself
Why am I here?
Why am I not with you?
Maybe you woke up before me?

I almost laugh at the thought
Until reality hits
In a fraction of a second, my heart drops to the bottom of the sea
And then I cry
How cruel this world must be
I know what should be real
And this is not it
This is a nightmare...

As I fall apart, I think of you
So far away
In a vast world, where it's almost impossible for us to meet
Outside forces, as well as thoughts of me, tearing away at your mind and soul
At this very moment
As I sit here in silence
All alone, and without you

And so, I bury my head in my arms
And realize, that we have both been crying tears of sadness...
