Mobile Phones For 2008!!!

1 . Nokia 888 Communicator
2 . Nokia Aeon
3 . Sky "Sleak n Slim"
4 . Benq-Siemes "Snaked"
5 . What You See is What You Get Concept
6 . Retroxis By Dark Label
7 . Benq-Siemens "The Blackbox"
8 . NEC Tag
9 . TripleWatch
10 . Asus Aura

====================

1 . Nokia 888 Communicator
Nokia definitely has the most interesting concept phones. Nokia 888 Communicator is a striking futuristic concept phone. The phone, which uses liquid batteries, speech recognition, flexible touchscreen and touch-sensitive body cover,is designed by Tamer Nakisci and won the Nokia Design Award

2 . Nokia Aeon
Nokia Aeon was presented by Nokia on their website in the Research & Development section. What is so great about this phone is that it looks like it will actually go into production next February. Of course, its just a rumor, but still, makes us hope to actually see it someday in the GSM shop. All we know about it for now is that its a touchscreen phone and it looks fantastic.

3 . Sky "Sleak n Slim"
"Sleek & Slim" from SKY is another concept based on touchscreen technology. The phone has a discretely glowing touchpad, hideaway keys and generally utterly-fashionable minimalist design.

4 . Benq-Siemes "Snaked"
Benq designers thought of women too and presented Snaked. This is a "reptile" looking phone, creepy somehow, but still is very cool. The Snaked is a fashion phone for sport loving women, because it also has body monitoring sensors to help the ladies keep those fine shapes.

5 . What You See is What You Get Concept
One thing is for sure about this concept phone they could've named it shorter. Designed by Pei-Hua Hang, the phone's name comes from the fact that this concept no longer uses an LCD as viewfinder for the digital camera, instead it uses a transparent frame. And of course, interaction is made through a touchscreen

6 . Retroxis By Dark Label
If most phones presented here will never be sold in store for sure, the Retroxis concept phone from Dark Label looks kinda human, and makes us hope we'll be able to get one of these one day. Designed by Lim Sze Tat the phone is encased in high polished polycarbonate renowned for its lightweight and toughness and has an invisible OLED display that silently hides away when inactive

LG KG 920

Is it a phone? Is it a camera? Either way this twisting and turning top-end camera phone certainly is distinctive. Sam put the LG KG920 through its paces, and even put it up against the K750 and N73 with head-to-head galleries.

With the KG920, LG has seriously upped camera phone market by delivering a model that can snap five megapixel images - at least a couple of megapixels up on its main rivals.

The quality of the images the phone takes is superb too, especially on close-ups, delivering levels of colour and detail significantly beyond the shots its main rivals are capable of. Video capture is excellent, with the handset grabbing footage at 320x240 pixels at 30 frames a second. However, the phone's user interface is not very sophisticated and the control buttons on the front are tiny.

It is also hard to get a decent grip on the phone and I found my fingers constantly drifting over the lens. The camera's auto focus system isn't especially reliable and there's no optical zoom as there is on the Nokia N93. Away from the camera, the phone isn't all that well-endowed with features.

On board is a reasonable web browser, average music player and basic messaging facilities. Nevertheless, if you want the best quality camera phone rather than an all-rounder, the KG920 has to be top of your shortlist. It might have many flaws, but you'll be impressed by the quality of the images.

In contrast to the Windows Mobile-based XPERIA, the other phones from Sony Ericsson are not “so scandalous” and are rather standard for the brand.

After K, W, T, J and the newly announced R-series of phones, Sony Ericsson now puts “G” into the game, as a few rumors said earlier. The new G900 and G700 are Symbian UIQ smartphones with compact dimensions, touch screen and standard numeric keypad. The manufacturer notes that the touch screen is an extra, for more convenient usage, but the phones are expected to be operated just as a regular ones. The interface is additionally personalized for faster access to certain applications, directly from the home-screen.

Sony Ericsson G900 is the high-end model of the series: it is smart, it is pocket-friendly, and it has 5-megapixel camera, which sounds way better than the other UIQ phones. It has auto-focus and allows you to choose the focusing area, by tapping anywhere on the viewfinder. For Internet connection, one can use WiFi or UMTS, but unfortunately only tri-band, the G900 is not suitable for the US. It will be available in two colors: Dark Brown, and the feminine Dark Red.

The G700 strips down the WiFi and has 3-megapixel camera with fixed focus, but adds two additional keys in the navigation keypad. It will also be available in two color variants: Silk Bronze and Mineral Grey.
