Out Of My Dreams

As reality come crashing home,
from out of dreams I nightly roam.
Empty bed, tear stained pillow,
left by dreams of weeping willow.

Dead sleep comes in vivid phases,
slumber quickens as darkness raises.
There in the night the sun appears,
in dreams I see my love so clear.

We love and laugh mid sunny days,
dance on moonbeams in purple haze.
Smiles so missed upon our faces,
dream of kisses and warm embraces.

Eyelids aflutter like butterflies,
wandering dreamland in ebony skies.
Come fly with me, let love take flight,
dream a little dream with me tonight.
