How important do you think is home and carpet cleaning?

My mother-in-law will soon be coming to live with us and I have decided I need a full house cleanup before her arrival. I am confused as should I include carpet and upholstery chemdry
cleaning or they can wait?
Any suggestions will be helpful. Thanks in advance.
