There's a few reasons for that, firstly, Jordan was wearing a pair of Jordan 5 Fire Reds during his blistering 69-point game against the Cavs in 1990 – a personal record he never topped. The 5 was also the focal point of the "Is It The Shoes?" ads with Spike Lee, which has become one of the most loved basketball campaigns ever. But most importantly, the Jordan 5 just looks fly. The Knicks edition of the Jordan 5 Low features a blue upper that also spreads across the tongue and laces. Additionally, the brand has placed a 3M reflective tongue along with mesh netting on the side panels. Other details include hits of orange, a white midsole and translucent blue outsole. Defined by its reflective silver upper, the silhouette is treated with special details such as the athlete's Brazil number, 10, which is located on the lateral side, while the number 23 is on the right to commemorate MJ. Nicely offset with black accents on its signature netting, eye stays, laces, tongue and midsole unit, additional vibrancy is provided by hits of Infrared adorning the tongue, lace lock and portion of the outsole.

One of those colorways that will probably not sit on shelves for too long is this upcoming collaboration with soccer star Neymar. The Air Jordan 5 Low Neymar comes with a cement print upper that features black speckling and is also 3m reflective. In addition to the flashy 3M upper we also see Infrared detailing on the outsole, the inside of the tongue, and the "10" and "23" branding on each of the ankles that represent Neymar and Michael Jordan's numbers respectively. The rest of the shoe including the tongue, laces, inner liner, eyelets, midsole and side panel mesh netting are all done in black. Capping things off is an icy blue translucent outsole.
