VICTORIA -- Jesse King scored all three of his goals in the third period to lead the Victoria Shamrocks to a 5-4 come-from-behind win over the Six Nations Chiefs
on Friday in the opening game of the best-of-seven Mann Cup senior lacrosse
championship.

Kizer Browns Jersey . The Chiefs built a 3-1 lead in the first period with
goals from Kasey Beirnes, Johnny Powless and Craig Point. Ben McCullough had an
unassisted goal for the Shamrocks. Points second goal of the game gave Six
Nations a 4-1 lead in the second period, before Rhys Duch cut the margin. King
got Victoria to within a goal at 5:39 of the third period, and he tied the game
a little over minute later, before scoring the winner at 9:55. Matt Vinc made 26
saves for the Shamrocks, while Evan Kirk made 39 stops for Six Nations.

against.

Wilson Browns Jersey. Minny was coming in waves and the Hawks had no
answer for them. Two tips and a nice 3-on-2 convert on the Mikael Granlund goal.
This is not a high shots series, but there are a good amount of scoring chances
against. Ilya Bryzgalov, Minnesota Wild (5) - Huge save on Jonathan Toews in the
third period. He wasnt tested a ton, but was really controlled in his movements
tonight. He showed good rebound control and handled the puck well tonight. Good
exchanges with his defencemen.
