TNT KaTropa on Wednesday announced that it has fined controversial import Glen Rice Jr. $10,000 for "undesirable, unprofessional, unruly and unsportsmanlike behavior."
This is on top of the P26,000 that the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) docked from
Authentic Brett Cecil Womens Jersey Rice Jr. for various infractions.
Rice Jr.was a highly productive import who averaged 32.88 points, 11.25 rebounds, 4.88 assists per game for the KaTropa in the season-ending Governors' Cup. But his stint ended in disarray, as he was thrown out of TNT's do-or-die game against Barangay Ginebra in the semifinals after shoving Kevin Ferrer to the court then throwing the ball at him.
This ejection, which came in the closing minutes of the first quarter of Game 4, was the final straw for the franchise.

Argentina stalwart Javier Mascherano failed to deal with a speculative long ball forward from Dario Aimar, directing a headed clearance into the path of Romario Ibarra.
Ibarra calmly headed to team-mate Roberto Ordones who then steered a header back to Ibarra for the Universidad Catolica midfielder.

"His undesirable, unprofessional, unruly and unsportsmanlike behavior adversely affected not only the Team’s image but the brand and corporate reputation of the PLDT Group as well," it added.
According to TNT, Rice had promised to comply with their rules and regulations, which
included conducting himself in a "gentlemanly manner at all times."
Given his infraction, TNT says it will deduct from Rice's final compensation the combined amount of the PBA fine and the team fine – a total of P541,550.
"This is without prejudice however to whatever legal right TNT may have against Mr. Rice for damages and other available remedies under our contract," the team added.
Without Rice, TNT squandered a double-digit lead and lost to Ginebra in Game 4, 115-105, to end their campaign in the Governors' Cup.
