Shortly before the change-of-command ceremony, Col. Brandon D. Newton, Commander, U.S. Army Garrison Area I, presented Rumfelt the Meritorious Service Medal.

Col. Brian A. Jacobs, Commander, U.S. Army Garrison Casey, delivered remarks during the change-of-command ceremony, as did Rumfelt and Newby.
Rumfelt moves to a new assignment as an instructor at the Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, Ga.
