Hinduism; polytheist/monotheist

I'm trying to learn more about this religion, but I'm so confused how it can be a polytheist religion as well as mono.

Can anyone explain this to me?

Thanks.

Monothiest means a religion based on an Idiology dat there is only One Allmight God...and there is no one equal to him or has any of his powers let alone all of'em.....on the other hand polythiet means a religion based on idiology dat each and every thing dat exists in this universe was created by a seperate god or is controlled by an individual god and all of'em in the end answer to one all mighty who basically to say "SUPERWISES" them, mostly u can find the polithiest idiology in greak, hindu and ancient egypt's mythology...there might be more dat I'm not aware of but I do hope dat this info helps!!
