Things could get very bad the rest of the way for the Atlanta

in-game management, the lack of discipline this team seems to fall into for long
stretches, and the defensive ineptitude, though much of that is genuinely due to
injury.Of course, while there are legitimate arguments to be had about the
weakness of Quinn and this coaching staff more broadly, any discussion of the
coach losing his job is There are multiple reasons for this. The first is that
this season has the look of an outlier for Quinn, given that this team made the
Super Bowl after 2016 and the playoffs in 2017, and injuries have largely
crippled the defense. The second is that the owner is Arthur Blank, and Blank
made only one in-season coaching change back in 2003, when he canned longtime
coach Dan Reeves because he was A) clashing with Michael Vick and B) had one
playoff appearance in his previous four seasons. The third is that the Falcons
have bought into Quinn in a very real way, as he’s been instrumental in building
this roster and coaching staff

back, enjoy a solid draft, and still underachieve in 2019. But for better or for
worse and usually the former, stable franchises don’t tend to fire coaches for

here features the Falcons going on a tremendous run, pushing into the playoffs,
and having Dan Quinn rub our noses in some of his favorite mantras for a bit.
The worst case is that the team struggles all year, leading to some
soul-searching in the offseason, some shakeups to the roster and coaching staff,
and hopefully a healthy, improved team heading into 2019. There won’t be a

get a dang win on Thursday night? Will the Bud Light flow freely through the
streets of Cleveland, Ohio? The majority of our pickers this week think so. The
Browns tied with the Steelers in Week 1 — hey, at least it wasn’t a loss! — and
they should have beaten the Saints in New Orleans last week. Having a kicker
blow it to the tune of eight points worth of missed kicks is just flat out bad
luck, which is about the only thing that the Browns have been consistent about.
The Browns haven’t won a game since Dec. 24, 2016. They have to be due,
right?Next up is a battle of the big cats when the Bengals travel to Charlotte
to take on the Panthers. Perhaps it’s because we’re fresh off of a fun Falcons
win against the Panthers, but our pickers are siding with the Bengals in this
one. The Patriots’ loss to the Jaguars last week didn’t faze anyone. It’s almost
unanimous — the Patriots are the expected winner this week against the Lions.
The Steelers have a whole lot of stuff going on, and none of it is particularly
great. They tied with the Browns in Week 1, got owned by Patrick Mahomes and the
Chiefs last week

missed team meetings on Monday, and Le’Veon Bell is still holding out in protest
of the team’s decision to place him under the franchise tag yet again this
season. But most of our pickers don’t think Fitzpatrick can keep working his
