'Item girl' Nigar Khan has been told to leave the country.

This follows violation of her work permit conditions
Nigar shot to fame with her popular remix songs. She also acted in a film 'Shaadi Ka Ladoo'.

Nigar said she married an Indian six months ago and that she possesses all the valid documents.

She did not, however, reveal her husband's name. Media sources said she shares an apartment with fellow model Sahil Khan.

"I had gone to the foreign registration office to extend my stay in India but they said that I was living illegally in the country," Nigar said. "They told me that my visa is not valid...they were just not listening to me."

During the conversation, this reporter overheard Nigar pleading with a police officer that all her papers were in order.

Nigar is a citizen of Norway.
