Faakhir says, he don't have any particular preferences as to the type of music he likes. "Whatever touches my heart and speaks to my soul is my kind of music". He says, He grew up listening to folk and with time developed a real liking for it. His music, as you will notice is a blend of folk and western pop elements.
He says, "I have learned to take both success and failure in my stride. I strive to learn from mistakes and work even harder. I have been offered a few films. Acting is something that I have never seriously thought about. However I do plan to do a sound track for a film. Presently local concerts and international tours are keeping me quite busy. As for the future, I will be releasing a solo number in September and a compilation of videos on VCD/DVD".
