the latest episode of Billieve: A Buffalo Bills Fan Podcast Youth Frank Gore Jerseys , host John Boccacino and co-host Anthony Marino discuss the Buffalo Bills’ selection of Houston defensive tackle Ed Oliver with the No.
9 overall selection Thursday night in the first round of the NFL Draft. Thanks to
some luck, the Bills were able to land their guy, Oliver, without trading away
any future picks. Our podcasters LOVE the pick of Oliver, who should step in
from day one and be a productive member of Leslie Frazier’s 4-3 defense. Oliver
addresses a MAJOR concern for the Bills, giving Frazier a disruptive and
athletic defensive tackle who can get after the quarterback and cause havoc in
opposing backfields. During his three years with the Cougars, Oliver totaled 53
tackles-for-a-loss to go with 13.5 sacks. Oliver is that rare talent who is
extremely athletic, with the requisite size, strength, and quickness needed to
strike fear into opposing offensive linemen for years to come. While Oliver has
a tough task stepping in and making up for the retirement of Kyle Williams, he
should be up for the challenge. Boccacino and Marino also offer up their
thoughts on what the Bills could do with their second- and third-round picks
Friday night Frank Gore Jerseys Stitched , with both expecting general manager Brandon Beane to package some of the later picks to move back into the second- or third round to
add another high-caliber contributor (be it a wide receiver, another defensive
lineman, an offensive lineman, a cornerback, or a running back). What do you
think, Bills fans? How excited are you to welcome Oliver to Western New York?
What would you do in the second- and third-rounds (picks No. 40 and 74) if you
were Beane? Are there any players/positions you hope Buffalo goes after, and are
there any you want the Bills to steer clear of with the picks? Feel free to

the most? After stripping their team down to the proverbial studs in
2018 Youth Adolphus Washington Jerseys , Buffalo Bills general manager Brandon Beane and head coach Sean McDermott spent last offseason slowly rebuilding the team in
their preferred image with the drafting of quarterback Josh Allen and linebacker
Tremaine Edmunds. That process has continued in the 2019 offseason, with many
more additions to team being brought in, so let’s discuss our favoritesSigning
free-agent center Mitch MorseBills fans were positively screaming for the team
to acquire better interior offensive line talent, not just for Josh Allen’s sake
but for LeSean McCoy’s as well. Thanks to the unexpected retirement of longtime
starter Eric Wood, Buffalo’s offense featured a hardly inspiring combination of
Russell Bodine and Ryan Groy at the position. With Morse, the team will again
have a franchise player manning the pivot position, calling out protections and
providing a steady presence for the young quarterback.Signing free-agent wide
receivers John Brown and Cole BeasleyIf you’re an NFL team and your leading
receivers are an undrafted free agent and a second-round receiver who hasn’t
quite lived up to that pedigree, you know reinforcements are needed. One Bills
Drive certainly knew this when they chose to bring in two veteran wide receivers
in Brown and Beasley. Brown will play to Allen’s biggest strength: his deep
ball. Beasley will give Allen a reliable option in the slot, something Brian
Daboll’s offense absolutely requires. Both players will also push incumbents
like Robert Foster and Zay Jones to up their game, lest they be left
behind.Drafting Ed Oliver at ninth overallIf you were to tell me last summer
that the Bills were going to draft Ed Oliver with the ninth pick of the draft, I
would’ve been astonished. It wasn’t long ago that Oliver was considered a
sure-fire lock Adolphus Washington Jerseys Stitched , top-three draft pick. Now that Buffalo has their hands on him, he can go about creating interior havoc for a
team that’s really been missing that element in its defense. Fans should be more
than excited to see him take the field when the games start in September.Signing
free-agent cornerbacks Kevin Johnson and E.J. GainesBuffalo was subject to a
carousel at the cornerback position directly opposite of Tre White during the
2018 season. First Vontae Davis retired after a short stint with the team, then
Phillip Gaines proved to be a poor replacement for him. Finally, the team landed
on undrafted free agent Levi Wallace, who played admirably for the final handful
of games. However, there is no guarantee that Wallace will be able to replicate
that standard of play in 2019, so Bills brass went bargain shopping for a couple
of injury-prone corners in Johnson and Gaines. Even if these two don’t pry the
starting outside cornerback position away from Wallace, they will end up
providing extremely talented depth should an injury befall any of the
starters.
