milestoneWide receiver DeSean Jackson had just two receptions for 25 yards in
Sunday’s game for the Buccaneers, but it was enough to get him to 10,000 career
receiving yards — 10,013 to be exact. He hasn’t been in Philadelphia for five
years, but a bulk of those career yards (6,117) came from his time in Eagles
green.In Week 7, he may have only had two catches, but he also had a 14-yard
rushing touchdown to get him into the endzone, in what should be a memorable
career game for the wideout. Other offensive notablesAs has been the recent
trend, Panthers QB Cam Newton has focused on some of his younger offensive
weapons, rather than to former Eagles WR Torrey Smith. Smith ended up finishing
the day with four catches for 61 yards against his former team, as Carolina

pretty solid win in Week 7, 32-21, and running back LeGarrette Blount is still
doing LeGarrette Blount things — like scoring up the middle for an easy

updateNot much has happened since the NFL suspended Mychal Kendricks following
his guilty plea to insider trading, but the linebacker — with the support of the
Seahawks — is arguing that the league needs to set a finite number of games
rather than leaving it open ended. Kendricks will meet with the NFL this week to
discuss a more finite punishment.Kendricks isn’t due back in court until
January

their snaps last year, and that number will only increase as second-year tight
end Dallas Goedert’s role expands. With Alshon Jeffery and DeSean Jackson
getting most of the snaps in two-receiver sets, Agholor will likely be relegated
to the no. 3 job—while costing the team nearly $10 million. With only around $5
million in projected cap space next season, Philly has to consider its
cost-cutting options, and Agholor seems like the safest bet. [...]

given that Vaitai is in the final year of his deal, the Eagles could listen to
offers. Capable tackles rarely become available, and with a base salary of only
$2 million, Vaitai would be cheaper than most swing tackles around the league

fun watch. Jackson has led the league in yards per reception four times,
including last year when he averaged 18.9 yards per catch. His 17.4 career yards
per catch is more than any other active receiver. My first play from scrimmage
this season in the opener against one of Jackson’s former teams, the Washington
Redskins, I’m sending him deep and letting Wentz let it fly.Eagles All-2010s

Brandon Graham and Trent Cole. If there’s one thing I know about defenses in the
National Football League today, it’s that they have to be multiple. But we’re
sticking with a 4-3 because, aesthetically, that’s how the Eagles should always
play defense. And that means that Connor Barwin is a victim of circumstance.
Could we reclassify this as “Edge”? Sure. And he was very productive for the
Eagles, with 31.5 sacks in four seasons, including 14.5 in 2014, when he went to
the Pro Bowl. I would love to find a place on the team for Barwin, but even
though Graham may offer less pass-rush upside, he did make the most important
play in Philadelphia history. Cole may be one of the most nationally underrated
Eagles of all time. Meanwhile, joining Barwin as the only player to make a Pro
Bowl with the Eagles this decade and not make this roster is Jason Babin. I have
