"no COMMENTS and no ARGUMENTS", just vote RULES should be there, not because people like them, because there are always good reasons for them to be there (or at least, there should be).
But most ppl do want what please them. Here comes the notion of democracy, the selection of majority without deciding whether they are right or wrong. They are supposed to be right because they are in majority. As our national poet quoted:
'jamhooriyat ik tarz e hukoomat hai kay jis main, bandoon ko gina kartay hain tola nahi kartay'
Still, this democracy is not to practised while deciding rules and regulations. There must some good reasons behind them. So everyone should explain why he/she is in favour/against the rule.

oh Great.... i know Admins hi sahi soch saktay hain.... Look as our parents know better den us dat wat is gud for us n wat is not.... wat shuld we do n wat we shuldnt.... they care for us.... they can better decide things for us coz dey have more experience... in da same way Admins our the parents of jb and they have nurtured jb so carefully just like dere baby.... n no parents want their baby to suffer wid anything.... so guys i think wat admins did was in da best interest of jb n we shuld respect their decision as dey know wat is better for jb... i know sab ka decision hona chahiyay but plz guys dont do dis.... dont fight over dis issue n respect admin's decision n i think deres no harm in dese new rules.....

10 days are enough for anyone to inroduce oneself and for rest of the jb members to welcome the new member.
Ofcourse, after months of joining jb, koi apnay aap ko introduce tu nahi karwa raha ho ga ya welcome to nahi kiya ja raha ho ga, aur doosray sections bhi tu hain who deserve our attention.

If we consider two points
WOL Point He is striving towards quality,he wants to be introductions topic not to be rushed and highly populated.If Introductions topic are jam packed it will create definately mess.
Otherz Point they want their topic to be alive . If a topic ofa new bie is closed he/she would definately be discouraged so adminz shuld also take care of this
last but not least for being a Old JB member we shuld take care of JB and set example of UNITY . Some sort ofsuch debates are healthy signs but dont take it personal

aik new member ata hai aur aik post intro main kar k chala jata hai phir jb ka rukh tak nahin karta.... agar us ko us ka topic closed milay ga tu he is certainly going to move towards other sections as well
n 10 days main agar woh jb say manoos ho gaya tu woh intro main wapis aay ga hi nahin woh aur sections main jaay ga... coz i guess main new thi tu intro main jati thi ab tu arsa ho gaya nahin jati agar hum har member ka intro rakhna shoro kar dain tu daily kitnay hi loog member bantay hain tu intro forum to mashallah kahan say kahan jaay ga...
