There are various types of advertisements you’ll see on the web, and some of them are really annoying. While printing a webpage, you’ll not want these ads to appear. Printing with ads will waste ink, paper as well as time. Therefore, printing the webpage with no or minimum ads is obviously beneficial. Here is how to print web pages without ads on popular browsers such as Safari, and Microsoft Edge.

How to print web pages with no ads in Safari

Safari is the default browser of Apple devices, such as iPhone, iPad, and Mac. In Mac, it uses the standard macOS printing services to print a webpage. First, you should have to know how to print from Safari on Mac.

1. You have to open the browser on your device to print through it.

2. Next, you need to locate the website and webpage you want to print.

3. Once you reach the page, open the ‘File’ menu by clicking on it and choose ‘Print’ from the options. This opens the Print window on the screen with various customizing options that you can use to customize your print.

4. Set a Printer, Presets, number of Copies, Pages, Paper Size, Orientation, Scale, Print backgrounds, Print headers, and footers.

5. After setting up everything, click the ‘Print’ button to print your page.

Printing without ads in Safari

In Safari browser, you have got two methods to print web pages with no or few ads. One method is the fastest and simplest way, and it is the standard method that is given above. You don’t have to do anything simply use the same procedure and “Uncheck” the “Print backgrounds” (in Step 4) in Print window before printing. Deselecting Print backgrounds removes the majority of the ads from the webpage for printing. And the other is printing through Reader. Here is how to print with Safari’s inbuilt Reader.

1. Start your Safari browser and locate the website or webpage you want to print.

2. Once the page opens, click the ‘Reader’ icon at the top. It is on the left side of the address field and has a couple of lines with tiny text in it. Clicking it will immediately open the page into Reader window. Alternatively, you can open the ‘View menu’ and click on ‘Show Reader’ to do so.

Note: Some websites block the Reader option, in such case you can use the other method to print that webpage.

3. Use the ‘Ctrl + P + R’ key to open the Reader printing window.

4. Now, give the Print command as usual.

Safari will print your webpage without ads.

How to print web pages with no ads in Microsoft Edge

If your system is running on Windows 10, then possibly you’re using this browser. It is the newest as well as a popular browser launched by Microsoft. Before printing without ads, you should know how to give the Print command in Edge browser.

1. Start your Microsoft Edge browser and locate the website or webpage you want to print.

2. When you’re on the page, open the ‘Edge’ menu by clicking on the dotted icon at the upper right corner and choose ‘Print’ from the options. This opens the Print window on the screen with various customizing options that you can use to customize your print.

3. Now, set a Printer, Orientation, Copies, Pages, Scale, Margins, Headers, and Footers in the print window.

4. After setting up everything, click the ‘Print’ button to print the page.

Printing without ads in Microsoft Edge

Microsoft Edge doesn’t have Print backgrounds option like Safari in Mac. So, the only way to print without ads in Edge browser is through built-in Reader feature. Reader feature renders the web pages without ads as well as other junk.

1. Start your Microsoft Edge browser and locate the website or webpage you want to print.

2. Once the page opens, click the ‘Book’ icon at the top. It is on the right side of the address field and looks like an open book. Clicking it will immediately open the page into Reader window.

3. Now, use the above instructions to print in Microsoft Edge.

Tips: You can also use ‘Ctrl + P + R’ keyboard shortcut in Edge to open web pages in Render view and print without ads.
