i am telling her to have some paitance
we got worse conditions here...we have flood situation
here's what we got:
The two main waterways are the Bow and Elbow Rivers. An evacuation order is part of the edict. The order affects an estimated 2,000 to 2,500 people in about eight neighborhoods downstream of the Glenmore dam.
"It's flowing higher than it ever has in the recorded history of the Bow River," said CFCN News' Kevin Green from the river's bank
The normal flow is 100 cubic metres per second. "Right now, it's flowing at 2,000 cubic metres per second," he said, noting one could see park benches zipping downstream from washed-out parks.
CFCN reporter Kevin Rich said water is flowing over top of the Glenmore dam on the Elbow River. "That means it's risen three metres in the last 24 hours."
Homes in southwest experienced flooded basements and back-up sewers.
Southwest of city, a dam breech threatened the hamlet of Priddis. It caused a local creek to rise by a metre in a few hours.
Officials told some residents there to evacuate.
