i know it;s tough cuz there r so many explosive batsmen out there...but among all of them...this one was considered most explosive (note: it does not mean best batsman...explosive means higher strike rate, and this batsman is among one of the best too)

Jayasuriya is THE most explosive batsman in the world, ever. He has one of the highest stk.rates possessed by any batsman. Any bowler could feel like retiring after bowling to him. He has tremendous POWER, striking the ball like lightening with superb orthodox shots. He can hit any ball off any bowler at any time of the day on any pitch, which is what makes him such a great player. He has the world record for the fastest 50 in ODI cricket ( off just 17 deliveries!!) and the 2nd fastest century ( off 48 balls) which was the fastest till Afridi hit one of 37 balls. He does not have an impressive avg. in ODIs- 27+, but he is as good as any Lara or Tendulkar in One day matches (not in tests). He made Sri Lanka proud by implenting their victory in the '96 World Cup, of which he was proclaimed man of the Series. He possesses the highest ODI score by a Sri Lankan - 151* vs India, and the highest test score by a Sri Lankan- 340 runs( also one of the highest in Test cricket) again vs India (poooor India!!!!) and also the best bowling analysis by a Sri Lankan in ODIs- 6 wickets for 29 runs.
