Ahmad in Salakhain
An Urdu blockbuster of international standards releases this July in UK cinemas.

Gawalmandi in Lahore forms the backdrop for this Urdu blockbuster which became a box office hit upon its release in Pakistan.
The story focuses on Faizan (Ahmed Bhutt), a middle class student who is in love with the girl next door (Zara Sheikh).

His happy-go-lucky life soon changes for the worse when he ends up confronting the mafia due to a sudden change of events.

As a result, he gets arrested. Shocked by this news his father dies of a heart attack whilst his mother goes insane.

In jail, Faizan comes across another convict who knows his enemies well. He wants claim a very personal revenge.

What follows next is a journey of retribution as justice becomes top priority for Faizan in this action-packed movie.

Currently Pakistan's number one model, Ahmad, makes his Lollywood (thats what the Pakistani film industry is called) debut in Salakhain.

The female lead is played by Zara Sheikh who is well known for her role in Tere Pyar Mein. Also starring in this movie is Meera recently seen in the Bollywood film, Nazar

Few people also know that Bollywood playback singers, Sonu Nigam, Alka Yagnik, Kavita and Krishnamurti have lent their voices to Lollywood stars in this film.

The entire movie has been shot in various locations in the north of Pakistan, which include Hunza, Qila Dirawar in Bahawalpur and Hasilpur.

Post production for this film took place with an international company based in Thailand who has already worked on Hollywood projects like The Lord Of The Rings, Rush Hour, Die Another Day and Spiderman.

With such technical backing, this Pakistani film is bound to be a treat for cinema fans - Salakhain matches very high international standards of filmmaking.

A July release is expected in cinemas across the UK.
