hmmm... here it is.... now in my country in S'pore, the Chinese Community is about to celebrate the festival in their Seventh Month in their Chinese Calendar....which is called the 'Ghost ' Month. So there will be a lot of paper burnings and interesting stuffs laid down as offerings to their late ancestors.... they will even put up a 'show' and reserved the few front rows especially for the 'Ghosts' VIPs.... to know more abt the festival.... stay tuned....

must be interesting qveen victoia ...a couple of years ago when i went pakistan in aguast...it was hot ad also raining for a couple of days ..ad i really enjoyed myself...cos yeha uk me its always raining but wo pakistan wali baat nehi he....

we r having stampede here (happens every year)in our city....tomorrow is last day..it;s a 10 day outdoor fair...also known as GREATEST OUTDOOR SHOW IN THE EARTH which attracts ppl from all our the world every year

here is the continuation of my story......

abt the 'ghost Month' festival........

it is said tat children are not allowed to stay out late they should be home before 5pm.....

laundry should be taken in before nightfall....

all shops or Companies will lay out atable infront of their shops or in their Cos with canned food and cooked food as offerings to their ancestors.......

later, afer they finish the praying sessions, they'll all eat the food offered to their ancestors.....

one have to be careful when they come across the prayings materials at the pavements or roadside.....

coz if u've accidentally stumble over it or kicked it or worse, didn't see the prayings materials, and urinate over it, u might just have to wait for the surprise.....

surprise is u'll get sick as in very sick.....

my fren once urinated over the praying materials, and the nxt day his 'private part' got swollen!!!! and tat to 4 3 weeks!!!!

Recently this is watwas celebrated in my country....
every year in the month of sumwhere in July or sumtimes Aungust, we celebrate " rACIAL hARMONY dAY"......

all the kids in school will come to school tat day wearing their respective traditional costumes.....

and to make it seem more lively, teachers also encouraged them to wear costumes of fdifferent races like eg: the Malayswill wear the indians costumes and the indians will wear the chinese costumes.....

some names of the locals costumes here: Malay costumes are called " Baju Kurung, bAju kebaya, kain songket, songkok.....

Chinese costumes : Cheongsam, chi pao etc

Indian costumes (of course i believe u ppl noe already) :

punjabi suits, kurtas, ghagras, lehengas, sarees etc

although kids look forward to this event, however in reality racial harmony does not come into much practice.....

wait for the continuation.......

i'm so jealous.......

we in S'pore do not have much Public Holidays and when we do have we spend it by either lazing around or sleep.....

most of the time S'poreans are working..... working.... working.......

U noe S'poreans are too workaholic..... as the locals call it " Kiasu".......

so even if ur holidaying, do post any news or incident tat happened recently in ur country, ya...... thanx!
