QuickBooksAuto Data Recovery (ADR) is a feature in QuickBooks that may allowusers of QuickBooks to recover all or almost all of their data if in case data
loss or corruption has occurred. QuickBooks Data Recovery Tool was
introduced by Intuit in QuickBooks 2012 (and later) and QB Enterprise Solutions
13.0 R4 (and later).
When compared to Intuit Data Services, Auto Data Recovery(ADR) offers a faster way of recovering data. But a QuickBooks user should
remember that Auto Data Recovery should only is used as a last resort when all
of the appropriate troubleshooting methods have been fully tried.
QuickBooksAuto Data Recovery (ADR) is only available in the following QuickBooksproducts for Microsoft Windows operating system – QB Pro, QB Premier, and QB
Enterprise Solutions. QuickBooks Accountant editions lack this feature. There
is a limitation for ADR file size and it is 1.5 GB. An ADR file will
not be generated if in case, backup is greater than 1.5 GB.
