Were you trying to upload a theme or a plugin file using yourWordPress dashboard but came across a popup saying 413 requestentity too large error occurred? This is not an uncommon thing whilerunning a WordPress website. To maintain your website, you have to upload
different files, some of them are small in size and some are relatively larger.
When you try to upload a file that is too large for your web server’s default
settings, you will see this error. This is happening because your file size is
more than the maximum upload size limit.
To get rid of this error, you have to increase the max upload sizelimits set for WordPress. When this error occurs, there are three ways to fix
this:
  • Modifying the functions.php file
  • [/*]
  • Modifying .htaccess file
  • [/*]
  • Modify the Nginx Configuration
  • [/*]
If you want to avoid the error then you also have the option ofusing an FTP client whenever you need to upload large files.
