The Foundation — a massive budget adjustment of the slotxo classic Isaac Asimov book — finally has a release date: It will debut on Apple TV Plus this September, according to emails to subscribers received from MacRumors. A release date has not yet been announced. That's for sure, although Apple will provide details on this in the coming weeks as the marketing blitz for the show picks up.
The series has been around for a long time. Apple first announced Foundation in 2018 as one of the top branded series for the streaming service. and released a trailer for it during WWDC's keynote presentation last year. But due to delays from the COVID-19 pandemic, the show has been delayed until late 2021, and Apple hasn't shown any additional images or information since.
Can 'Foundation' bring viewers to TV Plus?
Starring Jared Harris as Hari Seldon, Lee Pace, Emperor of the Galaxy, and Lou Lobel as Gal Dornick, the series seems to start with Just as Asimov's series did: with the Galactic Empire at its peak. but with Seldon “Mental History” Predicts Catastrophe A prestigious foundation was needed to consolidate the knowledge of humanity in the new dark ages.
