It's easy to forget, but Salesforce bought Slack late last year for nearly $28 billion, a deal that hasn't closed yet. We don't know exactly when this will happen, but Slack is still improving its product roadmap adding new functionality. Even while waiting to eventually become part of Salesforce.

just this morning Theslot company has officially released a new tool that has been talked about for quite some time. including a new audio tool called Slack Huddles, available starting today. It includes a video messaging and directory service called Slack Atlas.

These tools enhance the platform's functionality in a way that should prove useful when it comes to becoming a part of Salesforce whenever it happens. It's not hard to imagine how integrating Huddles or video tools (or even Slack Atlas for internal and external corporate perspectives) could work when integrated with the Salesforce platform.

Slack CEO Stewart Butterfield said companies Haven't worked together due to regulatory restrictions on communication. But he can clearly see how these tools can work in tandem with Salesforce Service Cloud and Sales Cloud, and how you can start integrating data in Salesforce with Slack's communications capabilities.
