Next time you rent a bird scooter. Don't try to drive past schools or other crowded areas. The company has introduced Community Safety Zones, a feature that uses geofencing to automatically limit the scooter's speed in certain areas.

When traveling through theslotxo Community Safety Zone, the company's scooters can run no more than 8 miles per hour. You will see different zones. displayed in the Bird app and the software will display

a message when you enter a zone explaining why your car is slowing down.The company is testing the feature in Miami, Marseille and Madrid over the next few weeks, Bird said it will work with government officials to operate

geographic zones in more than 250 cities it operates around the world. Initially, the zones focused on the school. Although this may include areas around future parks and shopping malls.
