It seems Akshay Kumar is high on his career graph these days. He is not only working on big budget films but will soon appear in regional flick too. He will be seen in a Punjabi movie called Saanj Mohabaatane De. The film is shot in India and Pakistan, which is 30 percent complete. The star cast includes Muammar Rana, Irfan Kosatand Sana from Pakistan and Pariksh*t Sahani, Rana Jung Bahadur and Sumit Kang from India. (INDIAN FM Website)
The film is called Mohabatan Sachchian.It is being directed by Shehzad Rafiq and producer is Khalil Rana. The film is scheduled to be released on 11th August in Pakistan and the UK.

I don't think Momi is in this film. A new lad called Adnan and Veena Malik are in the film for sure.
Agree with yoyo that one will see a change in Punjabi films for the good. This film and films like Majajan and Channa Sachi Muchi will prove that.
Majajan looks very promising.

i hope these films are released in india too, they have quite a good market for punjabi films too.
one thing is for sure, punjabi films and pushtoo films are finaly improving. Urdu films unfortunatly have been hit by bollywood, they need atleast 5 super hit films in one year to climb back up the ladder.

there s no market for punjaabi films in india except in punjaab. its just regional fare and akshay kumar is just doing a 5 second guest appearance at the request of the producers who are his friends. five urdu films is nutthin dude. you need atleast one superhit a month and then a lot of hits and average successes. anyways whatever the deal is bolly is getting bigger and better . dont think you should even compete in mainstream movies cause whatever you ll do bolly will do it much better . instead focus on making some nice art house movies that represent your true culture and identity.
