Common bicycle mirrors for mounting on the handlebar are placed next to the grip. To do this, you have to check whether there is enough space for the mirror clamp. If this is not the case, loosen the hex or Torx bolt of the brake lever and, if necessary, of the shift lever so that you can push the lever(s) a little further inward. This will give you enough space on your handlebar to mount the clamp. To get more news about ebike mirrors, you can visit magicyclebike.com official website.

Now you attach the clamp – the arm and mirror will be bolted to it – to the inside of the grip, which is very easy thanks to the hinge design. Just make sure that the clamp’s rubber shim does not slip (it protects the handlebar from scratches) and that the screw/thread is positioned toward the top/front.

Step 3: Bolt on the mirror
Now screw the arm with mirror onto the clamp, roughly align the entire mirror and hand tighten the clamp bolt.

Step 4: Align the mirror
Now the mirror, which is secured by a bolt and at the same time can be moved via the round clamp, can be turned easily by hand to the inside/outside or to the front/rear. It should be aligned so that you can see both the rear of your bike or e-bike and quickly see when a car or bike approaches from the back or side.

Step 5: Tighten the bolts!
After your bike mirror is correctly aligned, tighten the bolt of the clamp, observing the maximum tightening torque. In addition, tighten the bolt connecting the mirror. Do not over do this, as the mirror should remain movable enough for subsequent fine adjustments `on tour´. In addition, this mobility protects it; for example, if you abruptly hit something. Finally, position your loose shift/brake lever and tighten it.

Bike mirror mounting from inside the handlebar:
Step 1: Remove the bar end plug
To fit the inner clamp of the mirror in the handlebar, first remove the bar end plugs with a screwdriver. To do this, insert the screwdriver under the end plugs and pry them out of the handlebar with a little pressure.

Step 2: Install the mirror on the inside of the handlebar
You then install the inner clamp of the mirror in the left or right end of the handlebar (depending on the mirror model and preferred side). Now tighten the mirror's horizontal hex bolt, the clamping mechanism in the handlebar expands and locks the mirror in place.

Step 3: Align the mirror
And thanks to its joint function, you can adjust your new CONTEC mirror with inner clamp to the front / rear as well as to the inside / outside. You can also determine whether the field of view is right to the rear with a short test ride – and possibly even fine-tune it.

Step 4: Please tighten!
Is everything aligned? Then, in the final step, tighten the mirror bolts at the end of the handlebar, observing the maximum tightening torque. Finally, check that the bolt at the adjustment point of the bike mirror is firm enough.
When and on which bikes do mirrors make sense?
Especially on fast-moving e-bikes, which are often ridden through the city at a fast pace thanks to the electric motors, a bicycle mirror represents a valuable safety benefit. Mounted on the left or right-hand side of the handlebar, the bicycle mirror allows the cyclist to avoid having to turn around in traffic, for example, if they want to overtake another road user or switch from the bike path to a road lane. In addition to the possibility of keeping a comfortable eye on the traffic behind, e-bikers and cyclists can also see their kids in a bicycle trailer or on the long-tail cargo bike with a bench seat by means of a mirror and react earlier in case of any issues.
