Is it really virtous to celebrate the birth of the Prophet? I meant to ask, if it was, why did the companions and family of the Prophet pbuh, who loved him more than we ever will, didn't celebrate it?
i personally dont see anything wrtong in celebrating it,2 sects have difference of opinion regarding this issue.no doubt it was not celebrated by prophet's(P.b.u.h) companions
... and majority of the people in the world are not Muslims.
Furthermore, don't mean in an offensive way, majority of the people will enter hell fire too.
Our standard is our Prophet's teachings as opposed to what majority does.
My question was, did the companions and relatives of the Prophet did not know the great blessings of celebrating his birthday - or that we are more knowledgeable and have greater piety than thy did?
SD bhai ... aap ki baat aik tarah se bilkul theek hey...
but i must tell that i m in the favour of celebrating this day in the way k Hum bohat khush hona chahiye aor apni khushi ka izhaar karna chahiye .. jese hum eid pe kartay hain... ye bhi eid hey... Khushi ka moqa hey..
dekhain.. v celebrate birthdays of our loved ones.. aor phir Hazrat Muhammad (peace and blessings bhi upon him) wo hasti hain k humain apnay sab rishton main sab se zyada Muhabbat Aaap(peace and blessings be pon him) se honi chahiye..
And what i mean by celebration is k ye EID hey... to express the happiness and greatness of the day, if we dress well with this specific intention k ye waqai hamaray liye bohat khushi ka din hey to mera khayal hey there is no harm...
and the most imp thing. i include in celebration is.. More and more recitation of Darood....
well this is my opinion... i may not express my thoughts.. But i must say.. Hum jese kamzor imaan k logon k liye ye zaroori hey....
