hmm,,, i want to share something here
we all beleive in power of Quran pak / kalaam Allah

a person of my family (lets call her S) was having some serious pbs last yr,, and someone suggested her to talk to a molana (ehl e tashei) to have a solution of pbs according to Quran pak

S only told that molana that she s facing some pbs with xxxxxxxxx without going into anyyy detail
molana sahab opend the Quran pak and read some ayat,, and suggested some solution saying that according to Quran pak "this" is the situation and later the situation will be "like that"

S didnt like at alllllllllllllll wot molana sahab said coz it was unimaginable,, she just ignored wot he had said and having faith on Allah carried on

1 yr later..................
the situation is exactly wot molana has told

so it means this kind of 'istkhara' really exist
and few ppl have this gift

Come on Sall! we don't have any idea what karama moulvi performed, but we are already in praise for it.

Quran was sent down to guide and pull people out of darkness. We made it a book of mystics and this mysticism is responsible for our down fall. The month of Quran is approaching fast. Lets make it a goal, if nothing more, at least to grasp the spirit of Quran in this month.

i ve no idea either SD abt wot molana has done
but im a witness of the past and present situation

u r abs right,, I think we shd start from discovering the spirit of Quran/Islam.. follow it in our daily life,, try to b a goood person/muslim
and then y not the way of mysticism,, nothing s wrong in it,,

i only shared something that happend,,, now it doesnt mean that im gonna consult that person for each and everything,,, most probably for nothing
i love surprises hehhehee

sd bhai, inspite of my poor knowledge.. i want to say something..
well.. i dont understand exactly whats wrong in it..

i mean.. Quran definitly has the solutions for all the problems we face... so plz clear that this kind of telling some knowledge from Quran is right or wrong..

u r right.. we are unaware of the true spirit ...

Doc, Prophet saw did not perform any wonders with Quran as it was revealing and was established in his life and in the lives of his companions. He told about tertiary benefits of Quran toward the end of his blessed life.

Allah swt says about the real purpose of Quran: "to guide humanity, it is full of clear signs of Allah and criterion for right and wrong". Quran guides in the direction of goodness and benefit about all matters. It provides signs and indicators of consequences of actions and believes - which csn be used in conjunction with other knowledge to predict certain outcomes.

In regards to grasping the spirit of Quran:
We are in the month of Ramadhan in which Quran was revealed - fasting was prescribed in this month because of Quran. Lailatul Qadr was given a status as we know only because Quran was revealed in this very night.
Guess why

Quran is the guidance and a pure word of Allah which only comes in and benfits the heart that is clean and is attached to Allah. Read first few verses of Baqarah and you will understand that the quidance from this book is for "Muttaqoon" - and is the very purpose of fasting -- to become "muttaqoon".

Let us receive the Quran in our hearts and let it shine out in our acts and manners. Like when it was about the manners of the prophet SAW, Aisha RA said, He SAW is the practical Quran.
