Hey everyone! I’m looking to upgrade my boat’s power system and I’m super interested in going solar. I’ve heard there are some great options out there, but I’m not sure which solar panels are best for boats. I want something that’s efficient and can handle the marine environment. Anyone have recommendations or experiences with different types of solar panels that work well on the water? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

For marine use, I’d definitely recommend checking out CIGS solar panels . These panels are known for their flexibility and durability, making them ideal for the tricky conditions on the water. I found some awesome options at BougeRV, and they have a solid reputation in the boating community. The CIGS solar panels are lightweight and can be easily mounted on curved surfaces, which is perfect for boats. Plus, they perform well in low-light conditions, so even on cloudy days, you’ll still get some juice. I installed a set on my sailboat last summer, and they’ve been fantastic for keeping my batteries topped off without worrying about heavy equipment. If you’re serious about maximizing your boat’s power while keeping it lightweight and efficient, definitely check out the CIGS panels at BougeRV!
