??? Plenty of people have sued auto manufacturers and won. I owned 2 Hyundai cars that were given extended power train warranties because an owner with 180k miles sued and it turned into a class action. One of my cars was offered a buyback because it only had 5k miles but my other car developed bearing noise in the bottom end and got a new engine at 60k miles. Ford 6.0 class action suit. GM Quad 4 head warping lawsuit. GM dexcool lawsuit where vehicles were filled with the wrong coolant. Honda lawsuit over premature brake pads wear. A number of vehicles catching fire that sparks a lawsuit. My OBS was one of those vehicles. I remember when they were only a few years old and I saw on the news that Ford was asking owners not to park their truck inside your garage or close to the house because of the faulty cruise wiring. I just got mine replaced in 2019 and the safety recall was from like 2005 or something like that.

Just takes one owner with their i's dotted and t's crossed to go the distance and they usually win out better than all the others.

I do most of my own filter changes now too, but I’ve seen exactly what you’re talking about with dealerships rushing it and not getting all the air out.
I had an issue a while back with my Hyundai iLoad —similar deal with fuel issues—and after a bunch of headaches, I ended up going for a reconditioned engine.
Honestly, it saved me a lot of stress in the long run. Besides, I came across a decent option for a Hyundai iLoad engine that’s reconditioned and comes with a solid warranty.
