Mold on bathroom ceiling paint is a common problem caused by excessive moisture and poor ventilation. Bathrooms, especially those without proper airflow, are prone to high humidity, creating the perfect environment for mold growth. Over time, mold can discolor and damage the paint, leading to unsightly stains and potential health issues. To prevent mold, ensure proper ventilation with exhaust fans or open windows. If mold appears, clean it immediately using a solution of bleach and water or a commercial mold remover. Repainting with mold-resistant paint can help protect your bathroom from future mold issues, keeping your ceiling fresh and clean.

I had a similar issue last winter, and regular ventilation didn’t cut it. I ended up calling Aidens - Mould Removal & Remediation, and they figured out moisture was trapped in the ceiling cavity. They treated the area and used some kind of sealant after cleaning, so the mold hasn’t come back. I’d tried DIY sprays before, but nothing worked long-term until they got involved.
