Wings Of Love

If I still dream,will love take hold,
on the winds of change can I fly.
May I still find my knight so bold,
to bid my loneliness goodby.

Wings on the wind, echoing sigh,
adrift in clouds, far far away.
Rising like smoke into the sky,
my happiness of yesterday.

Flown away on currents of pain,
cold north winds only bring sorrow.
Amid torrents of tearful rain,
broken wings hold back tomorrow.

Learning to fly, with innocence,
I was off to capture my dreams.
Love I found was only pretense,
losing at love each time it seems.

Finding my wings to fly once more,
afraid and anticipating.
Into the unknown I must soar,
will my knightly love be waiting?
