amidst the flies and swatting tails.
For newness of the spring entails,
tall evergreens and winding trails.
The freshness of the bulbs that peek,
for rain they thirst, the sun they seek.
Beauty blossoms from stems so weak,
beneath green oak trees tall and sleek.
Death to winter, rejoice in spring,
begin anew, let nature sing.
Evoke renewal, for it shall bring,
trees of green, all wondrous things.
