As Smiles Infer

In quietude memories light,
fill my heart this summery night.
Shadows dance as smiles infer,
beneath the moon emotions stir.

Though bittersweet my heart yearns,
that magic moment now returns.
Love cast upon a fate unknown,
beyond the joy and riches sown.

As tenderness of lovers touch,
fills senses with thoughts and such.
Cascading stars beneath moonbeams,
reminders of forgotten dreams.

When love was new, stars would glitter,
hearts and minds were all a twitter.
Embarking on a journey sweet,
with hopes and schemes of love complete.

In solitude, alone as one,
years of emptiness has begun.
Within the sands of time I fall,
the bittersweet I now recall.
